The following is intended to help all [email protected] members UNDERSTAND that we must keep the list restricted to serious students
God bless Carey Reams' heart. He became heir to a great message and we are in line to be blessed as well. However, to gain that blessing we have to be prepared to study and work together.
The [email protected] newsgroup was founded late in 2001 with the intent of having a safe forum for open RBTI discussion and the further development of RBTI. Over 11+ years it has grown to almost one thousands members according to Yahoo. Of that number there are about a dozen who post regularly with questions and comments. Such questions and comments are the meat of any discussion group and help us all to grow in knowledge and understanding.
However, there are others among us. Most of you are aware of the spammers and their sneaky tricks to peddle. Although you may find it hard to believe, there are list members who would dearly love to see the entire newsgroup fail. There are other members with ego problems who are quickly offended if their pet views or special teachers are not catered to. There are also others with variations on RBTI who come to talk about their methods with hopes of gaining converts. And, quite frankly, I have been made aware that there are those who quietly mine email addresses for later direct contact---with purposes not in line with this newsgroup. Shame on them for dishonesty.
But what about lurkers who simply want to quietly listen? Well, there is nothing inherently wrong with lurking, but if a member can't find something to question or comment about once in a blue moon, they are probably in the wrong newsgroup. If they are simply shy, they can send a question or comment to the moderator and he will post it anonymously. This is a place of kindness and courtesy.
In an attempt to restore that open safe forum for RBTI discussion, I have reset the archives so that only list members may access them. Further, I sometimes remove members I suspect are here for other than list purposes. If you really like what you find here, there are four sure ways to avoid being unsubscribed:
Thanks for your understanding and your cooperation. Please note that nothing in the above is meant to hinder free and open discussion. Quite the contrary---it is meant to encourage such.
If you feel you were unfairly unsubscribed, write me. You will be resubscribed.
Rex Harrill (as list owner)
PS: "RBTI" pages come and go. If you wish to stay current with all things RBTI, this site and the Yahoo group is probably the best place to do that.

- Post a question about some aspect of RBTI once in a while.
- Post a comment here and there---especially a comment where you express appreciation that someone has brought a facet of RBTI to light that you found interesting. And explain how it helped you.
- Send the list owner (me) a private email saying you would like to stay on the list.
- Change your mail setting to "Special Notices Only". You won't be part of the discussion, but you'll know if the list rules are changed.
